Welcome to the Norma Dean Photography blog. Here you’ll find what I’m up to and some previews of images soon after the event.

Katy & Peters' Very White Wedding !!
Katy and Peter were married on a very snowy Saturday.  It was quite a long distance to travel for us from Hebden Bridge but allowing plenty of time and with the aid of a sleigh and snow shovel, we managed to get there.

About 150 guests joined Katy and Peter on their special day including members of the Army and RAF as Katy is in the RAF and Peter is in the Army.  The happy couple were met by a Guard of Honour by the RAF girls after the ceremony.  This was just about the only photography we did outside as it was bitterly cold.

Katy looked amazing in her wedding gown and Peter looked very handsome in his tailed suit.  The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses and the reception had a Chocolate theme as Peter took Katy to Cadbury's Chocolate World on their first date!

The newly weds are spending their honeymoon in the warmer climate of Mexico - what a good choice!!
Congratulations from all at Norma Dean Photography.

Roosmarijn & David's Woodland Wedding
Roosmarijn (Rose) and David's wedding was a little different from the English norm as Rose is from the Netherlands.  Dutch tradition is that  the Groom collects the flowers from the florist and then goes to the bride's house to present them to the bride and they travel to the wedding ceremony together.  The weather was fantastic for their special day which was a bonus as their ceremony was at Gibson Mill in the heart of Hardcastle Craggs.  The Bride & Groom together with their guests walked through the woods to the Mill which is quite a distance but they arrived in next to no time.  The ceremony was quite emotional but finished with clapping and laughter!  Another Dutch tradition is that they wear their wedding rings on the right hand - not on the left.  After the ceremony we went straight into the Confetti throwing, then some group shots and finishing with the Bride & Grooms personal photographs.  Later in the evening a reception was held at Waterfront Hall in Hebden Bridge.  Rose and David are leaving shortly to go back-packing for a year.  Everyone had a wonderful and fantastic day.
All the best for the future from Norma and Stuart at Norma Dean Photography.

Lucy & Joel's Wedding at Hebden Bridge Town Hall
The day started for me at Lucy's parents' stunning house in Hebden Bridge taking shots of Lucy preparing for her big day.  The house was buzzing with bridesmaids, make-up artists, hairdressers and of course, photographers and very excited parents!  I then had to leave for Hebden Bridge Town Hall to meet Joel, his Best Man and Ushers for a few photos before the ceremony.

Lucy and Joel had perfect weather at a fabulous venue so drinks were enjoyed on the terrace together with a buffet which was well catered for by The Design House outside catering before the wedding breakfast being held later in the day.

Lucy looked just amazing in her elegant wedding gown and Joel made a very handsome figure in his grey suit.  The couple were joined by their many friends and relatives whom I am sure thoroughly enjoyed this special day.

Congratulations Lucy & Joel from Norma & Stuart, Norma Dean Photography.

Chris & Becci's Thorpe Park Wedding

Chris and Becci were married at the Thorpe Park Hotel near Leeds.  They were very lucky with the weather - it didn't rain and as I'm from Hebden Bridge that is quite something!!

Becky and Chris were both nervous before the ceremony but it all went very well - it always does!  They were both smiling endlessly after the ceremony and were congratulated by their families and many friends.

Becky looked fantastic in her wedding gown and Chris wore his suit very well.  Everyone had a fabulous time and I am sure they all left with many happy memories of the day
.
Congratulations Chris and Becci from Norma and Stuart Dean - Norma Dean Photography.

Kathryn & Philip's Wedding at Hebden Bridge Town Hall
This was my first wedding at Hebden Bridge Town Hall which has just been sanctioned to conduct Weddings and Civil Partnerships.  As I only live a few minutes from the Town Hall, I hope to be of service to many future couples.

Kathryn and Philip had a lovely wedding day despite the rain.  All guests, who were close family members, met at The White Lion in Hebden Bridge before walking on to the Town Hall.  The ceremony was very intimate and obviously, from the looks on their faces, ment everything to Kathryn and Philip.  All guests then made their way to Kathryn and Philips home for a BBQ - Philip had to rush out the day before to buy a marquee for the garden as he knew rain was on its way for their big day.  Everyone had a great time - the food looked amazing and Kathryn and Philip had the wedding day they wanted (apart from a bit of rain).  The happy couple are now touring America for a month and I look forward to seeing them upon their return.

Here are a few images from their day:
